BUKH DV10LSME marine diesel with saildrive 
BUKH's lightweight diesel appeals to yachtsmen who want a safe and comfortable engine 
but will give up only a minimum space on board for the engine installation. The horizontal 
design of the BUKH DV10LSME engine with its vertical crankshaft enables a direct 
connection to the BUKH saildrive without the otherwise necessary angle gear, thereby 
saving space and weight. Flexible mountings and a fibreglass frame for safe and easy 
installation of engine and saildrive are included in the standard delivery. 

BUKH DV10LSME has low noise and vibration level 
Minimal tolerances in all moving parts ensure the lowest possible noise level in bearings, 
gearwheels, pistons and conrods. The well balanced design with horizontal piston enables 
smooth running with low vibration level. A Waterlock exhaust silencer is also included. 

BUKH DV10LSME with direct injection 
The modern combustion chamber with direct injection ensures low fuel consumption and 
easy starting. 

BUKH's safe saildrive 
BUKH's saildrive is specially developed for BUKH engines. The unique Bukh double 
diaphragm is equipped with a sensor that will release an alarm in case of water penetration. 
A flexible coupling between engine and saildrive safeguards mechanical parts, and the 
multiple disc clutch can stand brutal shifts from forward to reverse. A special slide-clutch 
will automatically be activated in case of overload, e.g. if the propeller hits an obstruction.
